Family-owned for 4 generations since 1905, Hotel Villa Schuler is the oldest run-hotel in Sicily.

Historic boutique hotel immersed in an extensive terraced Botanical Garden. Central and peaceful location among the most evocative natural scenery in Sicily, from the Bay of Naxos to the majestic Mount Etna.

32 rooms, including 7 Junior Suites and 1 Garden Villa Suite, with sea or garden views. All offer a classic atmosphere and sophisticated modern comforts. The property feautures a panoramic elevator and spacious common areas for a relaxing holiday. Breakfast is à la carte, and sunset aperitifs are available on the panoramic Palm Terrace, in the elegant Orangerie, and on the romantic Rooftop Lounge & Terrace.

Direct access via steps to the main pedestrian street of Corso Umberto through the fragrant Botanical Garden, member of the Grandi Giardini Italiani network. A garage, valet parking, and electric car charging are available in-house. 

The reception is available 24 hours a day, with concierge for personalized experiences. Some services, such as valet parking, breakfast, and the bar, can be booked for a fee and are managed by the property. Other services, such as beach clubs, restaurants, yoga, spa & massages are available externally for a fee.

Rooms
The hotel has 21 rooms, 5 Junior Suites and one Garden Villa Suite. Elegant and well-finished, all rooms enjoy free Wi-Fi, orthopaedic bed bases, two pillows per person, double-glazed windows, sound-proofed doors, individually-controlled air conditioning, sea or garden view. Most rooms have a terrace, balcony or loggia.
Classic – located on the first floor, these rooms look out over the internal courtyard, garden side.
Double Garden View – located on the second floor, these rooms have a balcony overlooking the garden.
Double Sea View – these rooms have a balcony or terrace with sea view.
Superior Sea View – spacious rooms with balcony overlooking the sea.
Sunrise Junior Suite – smaller compact rooms located on the third floor with mansarded high ceilings and exposed beams. Veranda with living area and terrace with sea view.
Garden View Junior Suite – with living area, terrace overlooking the garden with sun loungers.
Junior Suite Sea View – room on the raised ground floor or on the third floor, with sea view terrace.
Garden Villa Suite – Suite with bedroom, living room with sofa, kitchenette, two bathrooms. Outdoor patio-sun deck with sun loungers, shower, benched seating area.

Restaurant
The Villa Schuler offers a generous à la carte breakfast inspired by the Slow Food movement that can be served on the Palm Terrace overlooking the sea and Mount Etna, in the elegant Orangerie, on the Rooftop Lounge&Terrace or in guests’ own rooms. The hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant but has, over the years, compiled a list of the best restaurants and trattorie in Taormina; the list is also continually updated based on guests’ recommendations.

Services & Activities
The magnificent 1500 sqm garden is a fascinating botanical park, host to more than 300 species of native Mediterranean flora and tropical and subtropical rarities, which guests can walk through and explore. The Palm Terrace is on the side of the park that overlooks the sea and offers a stunning view of the Gulf and Mount Etna.

Hotel Villa Schuler has a private parking and a garage with valet service: a rarity in the center of Taormina (at additional cost and upon reservation).
