La Foresteria Planeta Estate ****

Location
La Foresteria Planeta Estate is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, in a panoramic position on a hill located five minutes from the sea of Menfi.

The north-west coast of the province of Agrigento boasts long sandy beaches, archaeological sites and nature reserves as the archaeological park of Selinunte, the caves of Cusa, Sciacca and Erice.

Palermo and Trapani airport are about 105 km away from the structure.

Hotel
La Foresteria Planeta Estate is the wine resort of the Planeta family, a successful winery with five centuries of farm tradition, for anyone who wants to discover the rhythms, tastes, traditions and flavors of Sicily. It looks like a typical hamlet characterized by simple and linear shapes, terraces, courtyards and gardens that provide natural light to the indoor. It houses a total of 14 rooms, a restaurant, several common areas and a swimming pool with solarium and bar.

Rooms
The rooms of La Foresteria features pastel colors on the walls, red and ocher curtains and carpets and the typical yellow and blue ceramics of Burgio and Caltagirone. Divided into Dependance, Room with view and Junior Suite, the rooms take their name from the aromatic herbs that surround the terraces of La Foresteria.

They are equipped with air conditioning, satellite LCD TV, iPod dock speakers, safe, hairdryer, beach and pool towels and Wi-Fi connection. All rooms have a little terrace (only one room provides a balcony) with sea view. Baby cot is available on request.

Beach
The private beach Lido dei Fiori of Menfi is located at five minutes from the Resort and is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, beach towels and Wi-Fi. The sea by Menfi received in total 22 Blue Flags, an international award dedicated to seaside resorts which respect a sustainable environmental management.

The beach service is available from 9 am am to 6 pm and the entry fee of the beach club is included in the room price. 

Restaurant
The Restaurant of La Foresteria Planeta Estate is a strong trait of the Wine Resort. The menu offers the special family recipes, the wine of Planeta and the typical Sicilian cuisine made with local ingredients. The breakfast is a buffet service and lunch and dinner are served in the main dining room on a single large dining table where 30 people can accommodate or on the terrace with nice weather. The kitchen is also used to run cooking classes with the chef Angelo Pumilia while the "wine room" is used for tastings.

Services & Activities
At guest disposal and available for free are: a car park, bikes for adults and children, a fitness area and a Turkish bath. Guests can have on request and with by payment: massages, baby-sitter, cooking lessons, wine and olive oil tastings and guided tours. Moreover, nearby it is possible to practice several activities as golf (check Verdura Golf & Spa), sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing, canoeing, tennis, horse-riding.
