Opening Period : Villa Gussio Nicoletti

Location
Villa Gussio Nicoletti is situated inside a 14 hectares estate in Leonforte, in the province of Enna, and it is about one hour far from Catania airport. The Resort is 350 metres below sea level and it is an elegant building that reminds the scenes of the famous movie “Il Gattopardo”.

Rooms
The 49 rooms are distributed in the three buildings of the Resort: 27 Standard rooms and Junior Suites are in the first and the second floor of L’Albergo; they are furnished in classic style with valuable materials, soft bathrobes and linen bedclothes and they have all the modern comforts. “Il Baglio Siciliano” has 20 rooms – Standard and Junior Suites – while the Suite Cerere and the Suite Bacco are in “La Villa”. The latter two rooms have a 50 squared metres surface each and are all luxuriously furnished; they have a living room, and a studio with a hydro massage bath.

Wellness Centre
The Wellness & Spa centre “Principessa Angelica” proposes specific treatments for body care but also a wide range of beauty treatments.

Restaurant
The Restaurant “Il Torchio di Catone”, situated in the “Palmento”, where white and red wine were produced in the past, is an à la carte restaurant proposing traditional dishes and tasting menus of local products. The soul of the place is still alive in this room, realized with stones, wood and terra-cotta. Ancient witnesses are still there: an ancient wine press and basins for the must fermentation. There is another Restaurant, “Le Cantine del Barone”, situated at the ground floor, where wine barrels were kept. The chef here proposes a regional and Mediterranean cuisine. Inside the “Baglio Siciliano” there is the “Trattoria-Pizzeria La Corte del Baglio” where it is possible to taste ancient dishes of the agricultural tradition and excellent pizzas cooked in the wood-burning oven.

Sport
There are different proposals for sport activities taking place in a separate location (1.5 km from the hotel) called Lago Nicoletti nautical centre.

Services & Activities
A refined reading room has been made from the ancient grape press room Palmento. It is also a playing room with a book collection and documents belonging to the ancient owners. “La Villa” has also 5 museum rooms, decorated with original frescos, elegant paintings and antique furniture that are used for private events or small meetings. The “Sala Elvira” of the Hotel has a capacity of 260 seats and it has PA system, air conditioning, video conference equipment and other services. The “Enoteca Bar” offers aromatic infusions and herbal teas for relaxing moments; guided tours can be organized for oil, wine and cheese tasting. There are 2 swimming pools: “Piscina Clotilde”, situated in “La Villa” and the “Piscina Isolotto”, situated in the “Baglio Siciliano”, with a surface of 1400 squared metres and 3 hydro massage bathes and swimming against the current.
