Villa Ducale – Taormina - Messina

Location
On one side Taormina sea, on the other side Etna volcano. This is the favoured position of the Villa Ducale Hotel, exclusive luxury dwelling in one of the most renowned Sicilian tourist centres. The historical centre of Taormina is easily reachable with a free shuttle service offered by the hotel in short time or just 15 minutes walking.


Hotel
The ancient aristocratic Sicilian villa of the IX century was completely renewed in 2007 creating this particular hotel, which has all the peculiarities of the classic Sicilian villas. Materials like terra-cotta, wood and wrought iron prevail, creating a very refined atmosphere but at the same time very cosy and informal where typical hospitality and warmth predominate.


Rooms
Sicilian style is in every room of the Villa Ducale Hotel and you can find it in every single piece; everything is perfectly studied, no detail has been disregarded. All the 11 rooms and 6 suites have elegant hand painted ceramics done with the ancient techniques by local craftsmen; linen bedclothes, valuable materials, wrought iron beds, terra-cotta floors characterize all the rooms of this Hotel. The spectacular view of the Taormina coast and the Etna can be admired from the private balconies or terraces of every room.


Restaurants
The rich breakfast of the Villa Ducale Hotel is very well known and appreciated for the goodness of his products, such as the excellent coffee or the delicious sweets prepared with genuine products. The hotel doesn’t have an internal restaurant but suggestions for external restaurants and nice locations can be given to the guests.


Services & Activities
There is a shuttle service to reach the nearest private beaches. There is a Jacuzzi swimming pool immersed in the orange and jasmine scent for the guests who prefer to enjoy peace and relaxation moments inside the Hotel. The panoramic terrace is a meeting area for the evening aperitif only for Villa Ducale guests who have the chance to know each other and have a drink together, contemplating the enchanting view of the sunset on Taormina sea.
