Opening Period : Golf Resort and SPA Donnafugata

Location
The natural reserve of Donnafugata is one of the most enchanting Sicilian area. It is famous for the homonymous Castle, several wild beaches and ancient burgs. The five-star Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa is just an hour by car from the Catania International Airport and only few kilometres from the Baroque city of Ragusa. The resort is a fantastic point of departure to visit tourist attractions and cultural sites part of a UNESCO World Heritage.

Hotel
Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa preserves all the charm and original details of an ancient noble estate, with a minimum of 500 hectares, belong to Arezzo Marquis. The atmosphere is elegant and refined while its services are guarantee by Edehn Luxury Resort brand. The Hotel consists of different congress and meeting rooms, 900 sqm of Spa with swimming pool, fitness center and 7 rooms for personalised treatments; a tennis court and finally it presents 2 championship courses (18 holes) surrounded by 200 hectares of greenery.

Rooms
Refined and elegant, with unique furnishings, the 202 rooms of the resort are divided on two floors and including Classic, Deluxe and Superior rooms and 10 Suites. All rooms, cosy and bright, have free Wi-Fi connection, sat Tv, pillows menu and Coffee & Tea facilities.

Classic rooms (38 sqm) are located on the 1st floor and have a balcony with garden view.

Superior rooms (38 + 22 sqm) are situated on the ground floor and have a large terrace with garden view.

Deluxe room (38 + 22 sqm) are placed on the ground floor and have a patio with private garden and a breathtaking countryside view.

The 10 Suites (77 + 57 sqm) are on the 1st floor. They consist of different rooms and have a spacious terrace with a stunning view of the golf course and the sea.

The second child will be entitled to a reduction of 50% on the cost of the extra bed and can only sleep in the same bed with their parents.

Beach
Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa offers two options of Private Beaches.
Private Kastalia Beach is 5 Km away from the Resort, connected by a shuttle bus free of charge. Open from June till September. Use of sun beds and umbrellas is € 10 per double room per day.
Private Beach by Marina Yacht Club is 20 minutes drive from the Resort. The transfer is not included (€ 80 for maximum 4 people) as well as use of sun beds and umbrellas (30 € per room per day).

Wellness Centre
The Spa of the Donnafugata Resort was awarded by Condé Nast “Traveller Favourite Overseas Day SPA for 2010”. It offers a range of aesthetic and wellness treatments which follows the “Culti concept”. The Spa consists of six luxury treatment rooms overlooking the green golf course and provides a special and complete program for golfers.

Children under 16 are not admitted to the Spa

Restaurant
With three restaurants and various bars, the Donnafugata Resorts is able to delights all guests tastes.
The rich sweet and savoury buffet breakfast is served at the Il Fico D’India Restaurant . The dishes are prepared on sigh and personalized as you prefer.
At the Golf House you may enjoy a cocktail and special snacks such as gourmet sandwiches and fresh seafood.
The dinner take place at the elegant and panoramic Il Carrubo Restaurant. You can choose between regional and Mediterranean cuisine, a delightful balance between tradition and innovation usually accompanies offers with the finest Sicilian wines from the Il Carrubo cellar.

Sports
Donnafugata Golf Club has been the first Italian Resort developed by following the great international golf examples. There are two course types: the northern course designed by Gary Player (18 holes, par 72, length 6700 m) and the southern path, designed by Franco Piras (18 holes, par 72, length 6600 m).

Services & Activities
Guests can take care of themselves and can relax thanks to the Hotel facilities from the Spa services to the Golf and tennis courts. A heated swimming pool is located inside the Spa while the second one is an elegant swimming pool with sun terrace.
